What is AudCal?

• AudCal is a comprehensive application designed to graphically display audiometric test results and perform audiometric calculations. It is intended for use by physicians and audiologists.

How accurate is this app?

• The accuracy of AudCal has been published in a multi-center clinical trial (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/26144548).

How does it work?

• The app can utilize data obtained from pure tone audiometry or simulate an audiometric test using your iPhone. It features a built-in pure tone synthesizer. However, it is imperative to NEVER use the simulated audiometric test for diagnostic purposes.
• Results can be exported and shared across various devices such as computers and printers. Additionally, AudCal provides access to several scientific disclosure documents to facilitate understanding of auditory system performance and studies.
• An integrated wizard assists in selecting hearing aid configurations tailored to observed hearing loss.

• Hearing impairment (AAO 1979)
• Disability assessment (Real Decreto 1971/1999 - Spanish Law)
• Average tone thresholds
• Interaural symmetry
• Hearing loss level (BIAP 1997)
• Masking detection
• Air conduction audiogram
• Bone conduction audiogram
• Synthesized frequencies: 500, 1000, 2000, 3000, 4000, and 8000 Hz
• Acoustic power range: 0-75 dB
